The South Dakota FBLA State Officer Program provides tremendous opportunities for students to gain 21st Century employability skills. These skills include critical thinking, goal setting, organizational skills, public speaking, and many more. In short, it is a unique and valuable experience that we are excited to share with your students.

Alexis Haiar

Hello, I'm back baby!  My name is Alexis Haiar and I am a senior at Mitchell High School. I look forward to serving you as State President this school year. Last year I served as the State South Vice President. I have held many positions in my local chapter, but this will be my second year to serve as President there.


I like to run and will be playing the tuba in my school's marching band.  I am exited to work with our amazing team of state officers, and will do my best to serve FBLA during this interesting year.

Megan Nash

Hello everyone! I’m Megan Nash, your 2021-2022 State North Region Vice President. FBLA secretary. I am a senior at Northwestern High School in Mellette, SD. Along with my involvement in FBLA, I am in FFA, FCA, band, basketball, and robotics. 

Having served as the State FBLA Secretary last year, I am beyond excited to continue serving South Dakota FBLA and its incredible members. I, along with my fellow officers, am excited to meet you, the membership and to make some amazing memories during my upcoming year of service to South Dakota FBLA.

Nevaeh Starr

Hello, my name is Nevaeh Starr and I am a senior at T. F. Riggs High School in Pierre, SD. This is my fourth year in FBLA where I have held several leadership positions. I am the local FBLA chapter president, Editor of the School Newspaper and a STEM Savvy leader. I enjoy reading, swimming and walking Gus, my corgi.

I am excited to meet everyone this year! 



Mikaila Fluth

Hi everyone! I’m Mikaila Fluth, your 2021-2022 State FBLA Secretary. I am a junior at Tri-Valley High School in Colton, SD.  I play clarinet in the high school band.  I also work part-time at Pizza Ranch. 

After high school I plan on attending either Black Hills State University and major in marketing, graphic design or business. Or, I may attend Dakota State University to study computer programming and business.


I can't wait to get to know all of you!



Jocelyn Prewett

Hello!  My name is Jocelyn Prewett, a senior at Mitchell High School.  I am excited to be your 2021-2022 State FBLA Treasurer!  This year will be my second year as treasurer for Mitchell’s local FBLA chapter.  My favorite part of FBLA is the amazing community of members. 


If I’m not at marching band practice or my local CrossFit gym, I can be found working at the quilt shop or ice arena...or making an ice cream run.  I also love serving my community through Student Council and International Club.  My goal this year is to learn as much as possible as well as to keep accurate financial records for our state board. 



Lauren Harstad

Hello! I am your State Reporter for 2021-2022. I am a senior at Tri-Valley High School. I play golf and softball. I also shoot archery. When I graduate I plan to attend South Dakota State University and study music. I am the Captain of the color guard, play in the band and sing in the choir. I am a member of the National Honor Society. 

My goal this year is to promote communication between the chapters and create a more inclusive newsletter with chapter activities and events. 



Ryleigh Tupper 

Salve! Mihi nomen est Ryleigh Tupper! I am your State Historian this year. I am a senior at O'Gorman High School and one of my personal goals this year is to do well in AP Latin. 

I started my own business at age 12. I love working with Adobe products like Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design. I currently have a photography business where I do a lot of marketing and media work. 

I look forward to using my experience this year as your State Historian!



Jeff Zeigler

Hello! My name is Jeff Zeigler and last year was my first year in FBLA. I did not think about becoming a state officer but, I am proud to serve as your State Parliamentarian.  I am a junior at Highmore-Harrold High School. I live on a farm just north of Highmore and have worked there my entire life which is why I have been driving since I was six. 

My goal this year is to help make FBLA better by training chapter officers and other members in Parliamentary Procedure and encourage others to join.
